He’s not unique by a long chalk, there are many, many young bloggers out there. However this young guy talks some serious talk about marketing for blogs, and to be honest marketing in general.

Today he was asked by Darren Rowse over on Problogger to write an article on how to drive traffic to your blog.

His notes make for a fascinating read, whatever business you’re in and some of his suggestions apply to marketing in general.

He talks about the 3 ‘C’s, but a different set of ‘C’s to what we would normally talk about. Community, Communication and Consideration are the ‘C’s he recommends are needed in order to have a successful blog.

In my opinion this also applies to any marketing activity.

Successful marketing is:-

  • All about Community
    • Our regular clients and contacts are our biggest allies – always be prepared to give something back.
  • Regular Communication
    • Find new ways of spreading the word, whilst also keeping the old channels alive and kicking.
  • Considering Opportunities
    • Keep your ear to the ground and listen carefully to your customers needs. Opportunities are all around us every day and customers are incredible lead-generators and should be rewarded accordingly.
